Excursion to the Monastery Tatev, July 7, 2012
Legend:
When the construction of the monastery was finished, the bricklayer master
mason asked his workers to bring him two chips.
Getting the chips the master kissed them and said:
"Let the Holy Spirit give a wing" ("Hogin surb ta tev").
At that very moment, a pair of wings appeared on his shoulders and the mater
flew away. By the words of the master the monastery was called Tatev.
