4-Point Conformal Blocks in SuperConformal Field Theory The conformal block is one of the basic notions of the 2-dimensional conformal field theory. The aim of the seminar is to provide an elementary explanation of this concept and a brief description of the recurrence method of calculating 4-point blocks due to Alexei Zamolodchikov. I will also present recent results concerning extension of this method to N=1 superconformal field theories obtained in collaboration with Leszek Hadasz and Paulina Suchanek.
