Faceting induced by ultrathin metal films on BCC(111)

The faceting of bcc(111) metal surfaces covered with certain adsorbed gases has been known for years. More recent evidence has been found for faceting induced by ultrathin metal films. I am going to describe the process of faceting in Mo(111) or W(111) systems with metal adsorbate. I will show some experiment data and explain why and when the faceting occurs. I'll also present some of my results from kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. The presentation text will be in english but I will speak in polish.
