Hydrodynamic Modeling at Fluid-porous Interfaces

Transport processes at fluid-porous interfaces play a major role in many technical applications (interface problems) and natural problems (exchange processes at the seabed). These complex problems can be solved with numerical methods only. In this presentation, we discuss the possibility of modeling interfacial physical phenomena without the knowledge of the interfacial boundary conditions. Several examples with experimental verifications will be shown as well.
